Friends few days back me and one of our core member of AALAM went to Nivetha Nikethan which we planned to visit coming December 11th. The main purpose of visit is to enquire about the needs of students over there and to confirm our visit.

We especially want to extend our thanks to Ms. Indumathi and Ms. Rajalakshmi of Nivetha Nikethan who politely asked for their needs and answered our queries. We also had some chat with students over there who were mostly Orphans and Tribal students from nearby villages.They are very much interested to go to school and also to learn something like tailoring,painting,art works, etc which could provide them enough courage and could help them financially ..But unfortunately they couldn't since, they dont have any of them to teach,guide and support.
Still most of them over there are not familiar about computers which in their view is an uphill task to learn. We promised them to provide all the support they need by sponsoring school amenities and also in near future we have planned to donate sweving machine /computers if possible.
I request all our team members to take effort in bringing useful things for studies like chart papers with some motivational slogans(to paste in their study room),Worldmaps, Atlas or anything which you feel like it will be useful for students ranging from 3rd to 12th standard . Please dont hestitate as we may have many atlas sleeping in our cupboards without any use.Atleast let them know few things..Also if any of you have old computers which you are not using please let us know(Will get for minimum amount) so that they will use them to learn atleast to type word documents etc..
